L'ARDOISIERE residence in Saint-Lary in the French Pyrenees is located in Vielle Aure, 800m from the centre of Saint-Lary Village and the Pic Lumiere cable car (free shuttle bus service), opposite the Lagrange residence Le Clos Saint-Hilaire and 500m from the ski lifts and spa centre (free shutte bus service). This residence is made up of 52 apartments spread over two 3-storey buildings (with lift), built in the traditional Pyrenean style and close to the river.

Saint Lary is the perfect base for keen ramblers and nature lovers, as it offers a variety of activities, and the area benefits from mild springs, warm summers and autumns packed with colourful foilage. The area is well-maintained by the Pyreneenan National Parks Authority, and boasts several kilometres of signposted paths and walks.

Amateur mountain bikers will love the variety of trails on both sides of the Pyrenees (Aure, Louron and Campan velleys on the French side, as well as la Sierra de Guara and the desert of Bardenas on the Spanish side).

For those who prefer putting your foot in a stirrup there are plenty of wide spaces ideal for horse riding including through the forest, around lakes and across the plain.

With a range of altitudes from 500m to 1200m, you can have a go at paragliding in Saint-Lary and realise your dream of flying...

Saint-Lary also offers tennis, whitewater sports, climbing, and swimming opportunities, plus spa treatments at the stylish, modern spa centre.

And, if you still have the energy, there are restaurants, a cinema and a nightclub to entertain you in the evening.
