Sauve is a town steeped in history, thanks to its 10th century harbour, the preserved remains of the town's old gates and remparts', and the high mediaeval towers and the Tour de l'Horloge clock tower. Sauve is located 39km from Nimes, and is situated between the Vidourle river (85km in length) and the Coutach mountain range.
