Located on the south side of the Sancy mountain, Super Besse (1350m) sits right in the heart of the Auvergne Natural Park, and is surrounded by the lakes, volcanos, chateaux and Roman churches which typify the area.

Sports and leisure

A variety of activities and amenities are available in and around Super Besse, including numerous walking, cycling and horse riding trails (all of which are clearly signposted), a range of facilities at the Hotel Gergovia such as a swimming pool and tennis court, gym, sauna and steam room, a horse riding centre, fishing on the lakes and rivers in the area plus other watersports during peak season. Super Besse also offers a variety of concerts and folklore events during peak summer season, as well as local shops, restaurants, a cinema and nightclub.
