Marseillan is a seaside resort located between the Lake of Thau and the Mediterranean, 8km from the Cap d'Agde, 17km from Sete and 55km from Montpellier, and boasts a vast sandy beach stretching along 10km of coastline. The resort's harbour is a protected heritage site and the buildings of the preserved old village have remained virtually unchanged since the 17th century, with many even dating as far back as the 12th century when Marseillan's inhabitants were primarily fishermen and wine producers.
Practical information and leisure
The resort is accessible by shuttle bus from the train station and within the resort itself. Marseillan is well equipped and offers all necessary amenities including doctors and pharmacies, children's clubs, a swimming pol, supervised beaches (mid-June to beginning of Sept.), as well as restaurants offering local specialities, a cinema and night clubs.

A wide range of activities are available in and around the resort, including watersports such as diving, boat rides, waterskiing and fishing, a thalassotherapy centre with swimming pool and gym suite, tennis and golf, horse riding, archery, mini-golf and walking trails and paths along the coast and through the pine forests that typify the area.
