Resort

Located on the cusp of the Queyras national park and in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes, VARS is a family resort made up of four different villages: Saint Marcellin, Sainte Catherine, and Sainte Marie, which are all built in a traditional style, and Les Claux which is situated in the heart of the resort.

Practical information and leisure

VARS is easily accessible by coach from Montdauphin train station (15km). The resort is well-equipped, and has a range of modern facilities and amenities: medical centre, physios, dentists, pharmacies, cash machines, petrol station, sports shops, bars and restaurants and shops.

Children

The ESF offers a snow kindergarten for children aged 2 years and over with indoor and outdoor activities.
For children aged 3 and a half years and over, the ESF also offers lessons in a specially adapated area with games and a conveyor belt (the only ski lift for children).

Sports and leisure

VARS offers skiers 180km of slopes as part of the wider "FORET BLANCHE" ski domain linked with RISOUL.
