LES BALCONS DE L'OCEAN residence in Biscarrosse Plage in Aquitaine is located on the resort's beachfront, only 150m from a large fine sandy beach and 400m from the closest shops. This residence is made up of 45 apartments (with lift) and is close to a surf spot.
The Velodyssee cycle route is the French part of the EuroVelo 1 cycle route network which runs across England, France and Spain. The Velodyssee cycle route links Roscoff to Hendaye via Nantes, Les Sables d'Olonne, La Rochelle, Arcachon and Bayonne. Les Balcons de l'Ocean residence is part of the "Accueil Velo" scheme (the endorsement French tourist offices give businesses that welcome cyclists). Surf Special (state and pay at time of booking): Surf School La Vigie (located on the ground floor of the residence) holds 5 x 90 min. lessons (adults) + 1 hour sessions (children: beginner to expert) + 90 min. introduction to surf for adults, all at preferential rates.

Resort

Biscarrosse-Plage is located in the Landes area of Aquitaine, 45 miles from Bordeaux and 20 miles from Arcachon. Most activities offered by the resort focus mainly on the ocean, and while boasting a fine sandy beach and lakes, the closeness of Biscarosse to some of the finest pine forests in the area makes it ideal for walks and cycle rides.

Practical information and leisure

Biscarrosse is a well-equipped resort and offers all necessary modern facilities and amenities, including doctors and pharmacies, a nursery and beach club for children, a munipcial swimming pool, restaurants serving local specialities, and beaches which are supervised from mid-June to the beginning of September.
