Arcachon is a traditional seaside resort with colourful Belle Epoque architecture, easy to explore on foot and accessible by train via Bordeaux (65km away). The resort is set in exceptional surroundings between the Atlantic Ocean and forests of pine trees, with a long sandy beach, just 11km to the north of the famous "Dune du Pyla" in the Bay of Arcachon.
