The highest ski resort in Europe (altitude: 2300m) north-facing, snow-sure slopes and doorstep skiing suitable for skiers of all levels. VAL-THORENS is divided into five areas: Place des Arolles, at the entrance of the resort, Hameau du Peclet in the upper part, Hameau de Caron in the centre, Rue du Soleil in the lower part where most of the facilities can be found, and th Balcons area in the higher part of Val-Thorens with direct access to the slopes

Practical information and leisure
VAL THORENS is easily accessible by taxi or coach from Moutiers train station (37km). VAL THORENS is a car-free resort and all parking is regulated. Holidaymakers are allowed to park outside their accommodation, drop off their luggage and then must go and park in the covered/outdoor payable car parks available throughout the resort/residences. The resort is well-equipped and has all necessary amenities, including a medical centre, pharmacies, opticians, garage/mechanic, and a range of local shops etc.

Children
The ESF offers several snow kindergardens and mini-clubs
"Le Montana" mini-club is located at the base of the resort welcomes children aged 3 months and over
"Le Roc" mini-club is located at the top of the resort, and welcomes children aged 18 months and over.
Val Thorens also offers a snow kindergarten for children aged 3 years and over.
