TIGNES is a lively and modern purpose-built resort on the doorstep of the Parc de la Vanoise national park and is one of the world's finest ski domains. It is divided into 3 principal areas: Lac, the true centre of Tignes, the quieter area of Lavachet, and Val Claret which offers a direct link to the Grande Motte glacier (3656m). There are also two villages: Les Brevieres (1550m) and the newly redeveloped Tignes 1800, ideal for families.

TIGNES is easily accessible by coach or taxi from Bourg-Saint-Maurice train station (32km), Lyon/St-Exupery airport (222km), Geneva airport (184km) and Chambery airport (145km).

The resort is well-equipped and has all necessary amenities, including doctors, physios and dentists, plus pharmacies, banks and cash machines, bars and restaurants, and local shops.
