Resort

A genuine mountain village, SAMOENS (700m), is the only ski resort in France to be classified by the Monuments Historiques for its beautifully preserved architecture. Samoens is in the heart of the Grand Massif domain and the recent addition of a gondola from the village to Samoens 1600 means that 265km of ski runs are just 8 minutes away by cable car or 12km away by car.

Practical information and leisure

SAMOENS is easily accessible by bus or taxi from Cluses train station (20km). The resort is well-equipped and has all necessary amenities including local shops plus bars and restaurants, as well as a medical centre and pharmacy.
