Sheltered by the Mont-Blanc, LES HOUCHES is a quiet village-resort made of small hamlets, only 6km from Chamonix. The resort's originality resides in its almost entirely wooded slopes.
Practical information and leisure
LES HOUCHES can be easily reached by coach transfer from Geneva airport (70km) and Lyon-Satolas (212km).
The resort is well-equipped and offers a range of necessary amenities, including local shops, bars and restaurants, launderettes, cashpoints, doctors, physios and pharmacies.

Children
The nursery, located in the centre of the village, welcomes younger children aged between 3 months and 3 years, and the "Chevants" kindergarden is perfect for older children aged between 3 and 10 years.
For children ready to start tearing up the slopes, the ESF offers lessons and a snow kindergarten for children between 3 and 5 years and a half
Sports and leisure
As one of the 12 resorts in the Chamonix/Mont-Blanc ski domain, Les Houches offers access to 410km of slopes (some resorts are only linked by road). Les Houches offers a range of runs to suit all abilities: 16 green slopes, 64 blues slopes, 69 red slopes and 24 black slopes.
Les Houches offers 12km of cross-country skiing opportunities at an altitude of 1800m and in the Chavants area of the resort. Access to these trails requires a payable cable car pass.
