Resort

Situated 4km from the Swiss border, CHATEL is a traditional, family village resort with a lively centre and preserved architecture. It is divided into two ski areas: Super Chatel (with access by cable car from the centre of the village) and Le Linga (for more experienced skiers - with access by gondola from the lower part of the village). Chatel is ideal for intermediate skiers

Practical information and leisure

CHATEL is accessible via rail from Thonon station (40km). The resort is well-equipped and offers a wide range of modern amenities and facilities: shops, bars, restaurants, doctors, pharmacies, physios and dentists.

Children

"Les Moufflets" nursery welcome children aged 3 months-6 years, and "Le Village des Marmottons" welcome children aged 3-6 years. Introduction to skiing for children aged 3-4 years and over at the ESF snow kindergarden. "Les P'tits Montagnys" is a fenced-off snow field, where children can sledge and build igloos.

Sports and leisure

Thanks to its links with the wider PORTES DU SOLEIL ski domain, CHATEL offers access to a total of 650km of slopes, suitable for skiers of all abilities. It is also possible to ski in Chatel only
