Getaway to the Massif des Ecrins mountains, Serre Chevalier (alt. 1350-2800m) is divided into 13 different villages and hamlets of which Chantemerle (1350m), Villeneuve-La-Salle (1400m) and Monetier-les-Bains (1500m) are the main centres. The resort offers a wide array of mountain activities and nearby Briancon, renowned as a health spa and hiding behind its fortifications, is worth a visit.
