Nestling between the Maures et Esterel mountain and 12km from Frejus and St-Raphael is Roquebrune-sur-Argens the most expansive resort on France's rich and varied south-eastern coastline. 17km from the Mediterranean sea (the closest beaches being those in Les Issambres) and surrounded by the pine forests of the Maures in La Bouverie, Roquebrune-sur-Argens offers visitors the chance to explore some of France's coast and countryside. For visitors trying to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, a trip into the Provencal countryside and a stroll through the narrow streets of nearby towns Fayence and Montauroux is highly recommended. Roquebrune itself has an 18-hole golf club, and visitors can also enjoy horse riding, cycling and rambling whilst staying in the resort.
