Val Thorens, Europe's highest ski resort, offers spectacular views and excellent skiing. The resort is the perfect blend of tradition and modernity, where wooden chalets nestle comfortabely alongside more recently built, high-standard hotels and residences.
Val Thorens is a pedestrianised resort divided into four areas: Hameau de Peclet in the upper part of the resort, the more central Hameau de Caron, the Rue du Soleil area in the lower part of the resort, home to the majority of the resort's facilities for children, and the more recently built Balcons area in the higher part of Val Thorens and offering direct access to the slopes, as well as being just 500m from shops and resturants.

DOWNHILL SKIING

As part of the expansive and world-renowned Three Valleys ski domaine, Val Thorens offers 600km of slopes for skiers of all abilities. The local Val Thorens ski area offers 140km of slopes, suitable for a wide range of skiing abilities.
6 day Val Thorens lift passes can be purchased in-resort or in advance via the local tourist office webiste.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Val Thorens is easily accessible by taxi or coach from Moutiers train station (37km). Lagrange can arrange rail travel and accommodation packages for anyone hoping to let the train take the strain this winter. Val Thorens is a pedestrianised resort, and all parkin is regulated. Any vehicles in-resort should be parked in covered/outdoor payable parking available throughout the resort and at all residences.
Val Thorens is well-equipped and has all necessary amenities, including a medical centre, pharmacy, opticians, garage/mechcanic, and a range of local shops etc.
