Tignes is divided into 3 areas: Lac, at the heart of the resort, the quieter area of Lavachet, and Val Claret where skiers can make use of the direct link to the Grande Motte glacier and the two small villages which make up Les Brevieres (1500m altitude).

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
The Espace Killy (Tignes/Val d'Isere) offers 40km of cross-country ski trails, 20km of which are located in Tignes itself.

Tignes is easily accessible by coach or taxi from Bourg-Saint-Maurice train station (32km), Lyon/St-Exupéry airport (222km), Genève/Cointrin airport (184km) and Chambéry airport (145km).
