FOOD & DRINK

Travelfood hampers offer a convenient way of eating well on holiday without the incovenience of having to go to the supermarket. Balanced and varied meals are prepared from fresh ingredients and then delivered to the reception desk of your accommodation, ready to be reheated in a "bain-marie".

Surrounded by pine forest and linked to the La Plagne ski domaine, Champagny-en-Vanoise is a charming Alpine resort which boasts all the charms of an authentic mountain village. An 8 minute cable car journey from the ski slopes of the La Plagne resorts, Champagny is ideal for skiers in search of excellent skiing in picturesque surroundings, whilst still avoiding some of the crowds that can dominate the larger name resorts in the La Plagne area.
Champagny is divided into two areas - Champagny Station, at the heart of the resort and the foot of the cable car, and Champagny Le Haut at the entrance of the Vanoise National Park.

DOWNHILL SKIING

Champagny is one of the resorts making up the wider PARADISKI domain, which links Montchavin/Les Coches, La Plagne, Les Arcs, and Peisey-Vallandry, and offers a total of 425km of ski runs over Les Arcs and La Plagne (225km), of which Champagny makes up 30km with slopes to suit skiers of all abilities.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING

Champagny offers 22km of cross-country trails for a chance to leave the beaten track and the crowds behind for a day or two. A weekly ski pass is required to access these trails (enquire locally for rates).

APRÈS-SKI

Non-skiers can try their hand at activities such as snowshoeing and paragliding, as well as walks through mountain footpaths and ice climbing.
The resort also boasts a cinema and nightclub for an evening's entertainment, and visitors can pick up gifts and local produce in local shops.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Champagny can be easily reached from Moutiers train station (18km), as well as Chambery (100km) and Geneva (140km) airports.
