Whilst staying in the resort, visitors should explore the walled city of Agde, founded 2500 years ago and boasting excellently-preserved architecture such as old ramparts and typical streets surrounding a fortified romanesque church. For those who prefer to explore further afield, a trip to Mont Saint-Loup (ancient volcano), the Bagnas nature reserve or a walk along the banks of the Canal du Midi are all highly recommended.
