Nazare is situated 130km from Lisbon, opposite Fatima. The resort is an important fishermen village with white washed houses and boasts a large sandy beach attracting holiday makers.
Nazare is divided into 3 areas: "El Sitio", perched on a cliff located in the north; "La Praia" downtown, where the beach and the fishermen's quarters are; "Pederneira", the original centre also located on a cliff, in the south of Nazare.
